Queen Anne's Cake
This is by far one of the richest cakes I've ever had but it is so delicious. I am asked to make this for friends and family during the holidays, birthdays and just because. :)
Ingredients:
- 1 box (roughly 18 oz) devil s food cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup canola oil
- 3 1/2 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup milk
- 48 oz hershey bar (I buy the multi packs that have snack size bars) *important--freeze bars prior to grinding them up in food processor. Then put them back in freezer until ready to add to frosting mixture*
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 18 oz cool whip
Directions:
For cake, blend all ingredients with a mixer and pour into three
9-inch cake pans that have been well greased and floured. Cook at 350 degrees
for 25-30 minutes.
For filling, in a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugars. Blend until it's not quite so grainy, for about 2-3 minutes. Fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture.Blend chopped Hershey bars into the cream cheese mixture.
Frost the cake and decorate as desired.
